Our company deals with restoring the acrylic surface of bathtubs to their original shiny state. This involves sanding and polishing, which removes fine scratches that occur with normal use. We can do it locally if a part of the bathtub is damaged or most often in older bathtubs the bottom is polished, but usually the entire bathtub. It is possible to only lightly polish with compound, but most often we do two stages, the first stage is fine sanding 1000grit then 2000grit and final compound. The second stage is deeper where it starts with 360,500,1000,2000grit and compound. If there are scratches or chips deep, it is not possible to remove them with this technique.
The whole process takes approximately 2–4 hours depending on the complexity and size of the bathtub. So if you want a shiny bathtub again, just call. Prices start from: polishing only £150, stage 1 £200, stage 2 £250. If necessary, we can also replace the silicone around the bathtub. We can also polish shower trays.
